Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing a positive first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations using established table management tablet
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating arrangements
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservation inquiries and guest questions
- Coordinate with the service team to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas meet food safety standards
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing special requests and resolving concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in an upscale dining background preferred, demonstrating strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems
- Excellent communication skills, including clear phone communication and professional phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling reservations and managing wait times accurately
- Knowledge of restaurant table management systems and POS systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest relations
- Commitment to food safety standards and hospitality excellence
