American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week Home Health assignment in the Fredericksburg, VA area, with a minimum of 1 year of home health or clinical experience required.

Home health setting serving patients 18 years and older

Primary territory is Fredericksburg, with 1-2 days per week in the Falls Church area; specific coverage will be discussed during the interview

Average caseload of 4-6 patients per day, with a minimum of 24-30 visits per week

Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

No on-call requirements

Weekends are not required, but may be available with advance notice

Charting via Kinnser/WellSky; all charting must be completed on-site using a facility-provided tablet

OASIS experience is preferred but not required

Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate from first to last patient visit (does not include travel to or from home)

Free residential parking available

Minimum 1 year of home health or homecare experience; 1 year of overall clinical experience required

Acute care background is a plus

Active state PT license required; pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable

Current BLS certification required

No hits or restrictions on license

Flu vaccination required; COVID vaccination declination is accepted

Business casual attire required; closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times

Compliance documentation must be completed before the clinician can begin seeing patients, which may take 2–3 weeks

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration, along with a full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Ideal candidates are patient-focused, self-motivated, punctual, strong communicators, and diligent with same-day charting completion
