This position is for a nurturing person who loves children and feels called to be in children's ministry. Must be physically able to teach, play, and lift children 9 months to 2 ½ years. All employees will take a drug screen and have a background check done.
- Works with Lead Teacher to deliver curriculum and lead activities in art, music, reading, and movement.
- Prepares materials for the day prior to the arrival of the children.
- Develops loving relationship with each child and family.
- Ensures proper health care for children in the classroom and on the playground.
- Responsible for transition flow from one activity to another.
- Communicates courteously and professionally with parents, and forwards concerns to director.
- Upholds illness policies and cleanliness standards.
- Attends training and meetings as requested, in addition to CPR certification.
- Leaves classroom clean and prepared for the next class and cleans all toys weekly.
- Able to lift 35 lbs, change diapers and potty train as needed.
- Requests teaching supplies from director as needed.
- Works with Lead to provide consistent care for each child.
- Able to teach a maximum of 10 children in cooperation with Lead Teacher.
Reports to Director
Hours: 8:30am-12:30pm (4 hrs)
Days: Wednesday and Friday, and/or Tuesday and Thursday, August - May
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
