High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license
At least 5 years of building or grounds maintenance experience
HVAC experience required
Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills
Able to work independently in a fast-paced child care environment
Trade certifications preferred
Ability to use hand tools and provide basic personal tools
Perform routine facility and grounds maintenance across assigned centers
Complete light carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs
Inspect and repair toilets, urinals, flush valves, drains, and hot water heaters
Troubleshoot HVAC systems, including filters, belts, capacitors, and basic repairs
Replace light switches, receptacles, ballasts, bulbs, and ceiling tiles
Complete preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and vehicles
Use ladders, drain snakes, hand tools, and maintenance equipment safely
Respond to electronic work orders and report hazardous building conditions
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
Assist with janitorial tasks, grounds upkeep, snow removal, and salting walkways
Follow OSHA, Brightside, and state/federal safety requirements
