Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will occasionally operate heavy machinery but mainly drive our dump truck to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of aggregates, soil, and other materials. Your expertise in equipment operation and construction site experience will help keep projects on schedule while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris within construction sites.
- Skillfully operate various heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, graders, water trucks, and Caterpillar machinery to assist with site preparation, grading, paving, and other construction tasks.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage for smooth workflow.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage logs, and safety inspections.
Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of heavy construction equipment including dump trucks, excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and Caterpillar machinery.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL and medical card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Hands-on experience operating excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs or tankers is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of construction site operations with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork on busy job sites.
