7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Mon. - Fri.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid driver’s license.

High school diploma.

Must provide a valid criminal history background check.

Must be accurate, efficient, and capable of handling detailed work assignments.

Pleasant phone voice and etiquette

Good health, high moral character, and a good attendance record.

Proficiency in office procedures, computer skills and operation of office equipment.

General knowledge of school and office procedures.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Central Office Front Desk Receptionist/HR Assistant is responsible for the day to day management of the Central Office front desk & assisting the Human Resources Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintains respect at all times for confidential information.

Performs, communicates and acts in a professional manner at all times.

Processes orders for employee retirements and years of service pins.
-
Answer all incoming calls and greet individuals arriving at the Central Office.
-
To monitor and update corporation telecommunications greetings.
-
Arranges all interviews for applicants and provides written schedules for files.
-
Stuffing and mailing of all other bulk mailing, payroll and vendor checks, and/or informational flyers to employees and community.

Collect, order, and distribute requests for the Central Office’s clerical supplies.

Order supplies and maintain the workroom copier, fax machine, postage meter, etc.

Distribute internal and external mail to Central Office staff.

Maintain a volunteer background portal.

Annually update the school corporation's phone list.
-
Order end of year service pins, retiree gift, and Support Staff of the Year (SOY) Teacher of the Year (TOY) plaque.

Assist with all filing as needed.

After each Board Report: Update Safe Schools, Update Sick Bank Spreadsheet, Update Teacher License Check, Update Staff Email Lists, Post New Hires to Newsletter

Support HR Director in posting and updating all applicant jobs on Nimble.

ECA Reports
-
Maintain active substitute teacher files including application, license, and other required information.

Maintain records and process Student Field Observation limited background checks.
-
Prepare calendar work schedules, calculating actual days worked by each job classification.
-
Complete employment verifications, Workforce Development unemployment forms, and teaching verification of experience forms.
-
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and/or other administrators.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts other duties as assigned by the administration on a temporary or emergency basis to facilitate the operation processes of the School Corporation.

Assists with preparation of materials for new employee orientation.

Responsible for finding coverage for the front reception work area when absent.
