SUPREME SCAPES
Crew Leader — Mowing Crew Foreman
Newtown / Greater Cincinnati, OH, Full-time $22–25/hr
Supreme Scapes has kept Cincinnati yards looking their best for 15 years. We're hiring a Mowing Crew Leader to run one of our residential mowing crews. This is a lead role for someone reliable who takes pride in clean, professional work — not just another spot on the truck.
MISSION
Lead a mowing crew that makes every property on the route look its best, every single visit — on time, done right, and left cleaner than we found it.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Most of our work is residential maintenance, and those clients judge us every week the crew shows up. When the mowing is sharp and the crew is professional, clients stay for years and tell their neighbors. When it slips, we lose them fast — and losing a maintenance account costs far more than the one visit.
This role exists so that quality and professionalism on the route don't depend on the owner or office chasing it. The Crew Leader is the person on the ground who owns how the property looks and how the client is treated — every day, without being told.
OUTCOMES — WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In your first season, you'll be counted on to:
- Keep the route on time. Run the daily route on schedule so every scheduled property gets serviced the day it's due.
- Hold the quality line. Deliver clean, consistent cuts, edging, and blow-off so the work looks the same great way every visit.
- Be the face of the company. Represent Supreme Scapes professionally on every property — courteous, uniformed, and respectful of the client's home.
- Lead the crew. Keep your crew of 2 working safely, productively, and coming back each day.
- Protect the equipment. Return equipment fueled, cleaned, and maintained so the crew rolls out ready the next morning.
THE TOP RESULTS YOU OWN
If it's a great season, these are the results you'll have delivered:
- Route completed on schedule with no missed or skipped properties.
- Zero repeat quality complaints — no property needs a re-do for the same issue twice.
- Maintenance clients on your route renew and stay with us.
- Your crew stays intact through the season with low turnover.
- You maintain a positive truck morale
- No preventable equipment downtime from missed daily care.
KEY MEASURES FOR YOUR ROLE
You'll be measured on a small, clear set of numbers:
- On-Time Completion — percentage of scheduled stops completed on their scheduled day.
- Quality Callbacks — client complaints or re-do requests per week on your route (target: near zero).
- Client Retention — share of your maintenance accounts that renew.
- Crew Retention — your crew stays staffed and shows up through the season.
- Equipment Uptime — no breakdowns caused by skipped daily maintenance or fueling.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED — AND WHY IT MATTERS
Your route schedule, client feedback, and a quick end-of-day equipment check are how we'll see these numbers, and the Production Manager will review them with you regularly. This isn't about watching over your shoulder — it's about giving you a clear, fair picture of how you're doing and where to grow.
These measures matter because they are the business. On-time, high-quality visits are why clients pay us every month and refer us to neighbors. A steady, well-led crew and well-kept equipment are what let us finish the route without fire drills. Do these well and you directly drive whether Supreme Scapes keeps clients, earns referrals, and grows — and you put yourself first in line for more responsibility and pay.
HOW THIS CONNECTS TO WHERE WE'RE GOING
Supreme Scapes is building the most trusted residential landscaping company in Greater Cincinnati — the one neighbors recommend without hesitation. That reputation is earned or lost one property at a time, by the crew standing in the yard.
As a Crew Leader, you are that reputation in action. And because we cross-train our leaders, you won't be boxed into mowing forever — the bulk of this role is mowing to start, but there's real variety and a real path into hardscaping, installs, and broader crew leadership for people who prove they can lead. When we grow, we promote the leaders who already run a tight crew.
WHO YOU ARE
- Reliable — you show up, on time, ready to work, every day. This is the single most important thing to us.
- Professional on the job — courteous with clients, presentable, and respectful of people's homes.
- Experienced with mowing and maintenance equipment, or a fast learner who's worked hard outdoors.
- Comfortable leading a small crew and keeping people organized and safe.
- Able to work outdoors through the season and lift/handle equipment safely.
- Valid driver's license without SR-22 restrictions; comfortable towing/hauling is a plus.
PAY & WHAT WE OFFER
We pay up to $25/hour (range $22–25) for reliable people who bring professionalism to the job. Where you start in that range depends on experience and how you carry yourself on a property — dependability and professionalism move you to the top of it.
- Seasonal full-time work, March through November, with steady hours in season.
- Winter hours are available if you prove reliable and hard working through the busy season.
- Cross-training and a real path into installs, hardscaping, and larger crew leadership.
- A 15-year local company that treats its crews right and promotes from within.
- Full benefits available
OUR HIRING PROCESS — AND WE MOVE FAST
We don't drag people through weeks of waiting. If you can come in quickly, we make a decision within about four business days. Here's what to expect:
- Phone call. A quick phone call to get to know you.
- In-person interview. Meet the team and talk through the work.
- Second in-person interview. A short follow-up with the owners.
- Paid work day. A paid day on a real crew — your chance to show us how you work, and to see if we're the right fit for you.
