PHD is seeking a dependable and flexible Part-Time Manufacturing Worker to support various areas of our manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, staying active, and helping wherever needed. This position may assist with various manufacturing tasks, including but not limited to stock assembly of actuator components in our manufacturing facility. This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
This position offers a highly flexible schedule within our operating hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday through Friday. Employees may choose their preferred days and hours worked within business needs and scheduling guidelines. This is an excellent opportunity for retirees, college students, parents with flexible availability, or anyone seeking supplemental part-time work.

Assist with for-stock and for-order assembly and other entry-level manufacturing tasks

Package and prepare products for shipment

Perform product testing and inspection tasks as assigned

Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

Assist with miscellaneous shop support and special projects based on operational needs

Work Environment: This role involves standing on a concrete floor in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You may encounter chemicals such as lubricants and coolant, as well as mists, dusts, and odors associated with metalworking. Troubleshooting takes place around machinery with moving parts and material by-products. Noise levels are higher on the floor than in the office. The facility is single-level with concrete floors and no stairs or inclines; rubber/foam mats are present in machining and assembly areas.
Physical Demands: The position requires extensive sitting along with repetitive hand and wrist motions, manual dexterity, and reaching. Frequent standing, walking, speaking, and listening are expected. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. and good close visual ability are also required.
