Job Summary:
As a part-time welder at ChuckIt Haulers, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste-hauling equipment and vehicles. This position requires precision and a strong commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various metals, primarily focusing on vehicle and container repairs.

Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.

Must be knowledgeable on the use of torches in several situations.

Ensure all equipment and vehicle modifications meet stringent safety and quality standards.

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of welding equipment and tools.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to diagnose faults and plan effective repair strategies.

Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company and OSHA safety policies.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a welder, with specific skills in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Knowledge of relative safety standards

Bring and maintain personal protective gear, including face-shield, gloves, and other necessary safety equipment.

Certification in welding from an accredited institution, not required, but is preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours:

This is a part-time position. Hours are flexible but primarily needed on weekdays and during regular business hours. Expect approximately 20-25 hours per week.
