Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Electrician, preferably with a Journeyman License and 5+ years of experience, to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team.
Looking for someone who is a leader that is able to run their own job. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure is safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from blueprint reading to troubleshooting complex electrical issues, all while contributing to the safety and functionality of our facilities.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical installations
- Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters to ensure proper operation
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for all wiring practices and safety protocols
- Work on construction sites, adhering to safety guidelines while managing high voltage and low voltage systems
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes quickly
- Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and other trades to coordinate project timelines
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage wiring installations
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws
- Knowledge of NEC standards, construction safety regulations, and electrical codes
- Ability to operate testing equipment including ohmmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures and teamwork
- Familiarity with blueprint reading for complex electrical layouts
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
- Experience working on construction projects involving frame carpentry or related trades is a plus
