Primary Purpose:
To maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment at the assigned Head Start center.

Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures

Ability to safely utilize cleaning supplies and equipment

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Experience:

Two years related work experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Model HCDE and Head Start’s mission, vision, and values.
-
Implement required safety practices in accordance with all department policies, division procedures, Head Start Program Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and other local, state and federal regulations.

Maintain indoor and outdoor facilities in a clean and operable condition.

Maintain sanitation and health standards when cleaning sinks, surfaces, floors and toilets.

Clean and properly dispose of waste, bodily fluids, and other potential contaminants.

Maintain adequate inventory of center maintenance and safety supplies.
-
Maintain appropriate health and safety documentation including center checklists and Material Safety Data Sheets.

Actively monitor the facility for health and safety hazards and inform supervisor of any needed facility repairs or potential hazards.

Assist with the preparation, distribution, and documentation of children’s meals as needed.

Assist in the supervision of children when needed

Perform other duties as assigned.
