The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations, the role is responsible for driving process improvement initiatives, monitors performance metrics, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity, engagement, and quality outcomes.
This is a fully remote role designed for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven virtual care environment.
Full Time, Monday through Friday, Exempt
Shift Available 9:00 am to 5:30 pm EST
The Clinical Operations Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders facilitating continuity of care and cross-functional communication. Their roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations programs
Ensure compliance with organizational policies
Develop, implement, and optimize clinical workflows, protocols, and operational processes
Monitor clinical performance and operational metrics
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Identify operational gaps and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Support implementation of clinical programs and operational initiatives
Maintain effective communication across clinical and non-clinical teams
Review data and analyze reports
Education and Experience
Minimum of additional 3 years of direct patient care experience
Experience in value-based care, care management, telehealth, and virtual care models
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and assessment skills
Excellent verbal, written, and asynchronous communication skills
Ability to deliver empathetic, patient-centered care in a virtual setting
Comfortable working independently while remaining engaged with a remote team
Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced health-tech startup environment
Technical & Work Environment Requirements
Proficiency with EHR systems (Athena preferred), Google Workspace tools
Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps)
Quiet, private home workspace suitable for HIPAA-sensitive video calls
Professionalism & Communication
Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral, written, and listening communication skills.
Must be able to work effectively in a remote environment by taking initiative, go above and beyond to delight patients, be actively involved in process improvement, and be reliably available during determined shifts.
Able to learn new systems and workflows quickly and speedily adapt nursing in the virtual care start-up environment.
