Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Wave Planner to join their dynamic team in Avondale, AZ. This essential role is responsible for planning and releasing warehouse orders into efficient picking waves, helping to streamline operations and ensure daily shipping deadlines are met. You’ll work closely with warehouse staff, operations leadership, and logistics personnel to maintain a smooth, agile supply chain that keeps customer satisfaction high and fulfillment targets on point.
The Day-to-Day:
- Analyze and organize pending distribution center tasks using AI tools and data-driven methods.
- Prioritize and release picking waves to the production floor to maximize labor efficiency and throughput.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to understand the unique requirements of multiple client orders within the production plan.
- Apply operational standards and best practices to maintain quality and performance consistency.
- Partner with leadership to align daily execution with volume forecasts and long-term planning.
- Monitor daily progress against plan; communicate delays, exceptions, and recovery plans as needed.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on wave activity and operational performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience releasing waves in a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environment is strongly preferred.
- Background in production planning and/or distribution center operations.
- Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Google Docs, spreadsheets, databases, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, multitask effectively, and work cross-functionally.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule:
- 1st shift- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or until done
- 2nd shift- 2:00 PM to10:30 PM or until done
