Mobile Automotive Mechanic – Independent Contractor
Location: Atlanta, GA and surrounding metro Atlanta areas
Position Overview
We are seeking independent mobile automotive mechanics to perform basic automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services at customer locations.
This opportunity is suited for experienced mechanics as well as individuals with hands-on automotive knowledge who are interested in developing their mobile service skills.
Contractors choose their availability and the types of automotive services they are qualified and equipped to perform.
Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and qualifications, services may include:
- Basic vehicle diagnostics
- Battery testing and replacement
- Starting and charging system service
- Brake inspection and repair
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Oil and fluid services
- Belt and hose replacement
- Preventive maintenance
- Minor mechanical repairs
- Tire-related services
- Other light-duty automotive services within your qualifications
Contractors are only expected to perform work they are properly qualified and equipped to complete.
Training and Equipment
Training resources are available for qualified contractors who are developing their mobile automotive skills.
Automotive tools and equipment options are also available for contractors who need to build or expand their mobile service setup.

Schedule
This is an independent contractor position with a flexible schedule.
Contractors determine their own availability and select service requests based on their experience, equipment, location, and schedule.
There are no required shifts or minimum hours.
Qualifications
- Basic automotive knowledge or hands-on mechanical experience
- Reliable vehicle suitable for mobile service
- Valid driver's license
- Appropriate vehicle insurance
- Smartphone with reliable data service
- Ability to work independently
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to safely perform the automotive services you accept
Formal automotive certification is helpful but is not required for every service.
