Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and check them in efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- Schedule appointments accurately, manage cancellations, and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily patient flow.
- Collect and process payments, including medical collections and insurance co-pays, utilizing medical billing software and understanding health insurance policies like Medicare.
- Maintain meticulous medical records by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about procedures, appointment scheduling, or billing questions.
- Assist with medical coding tasks such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to ensure proper billing and documentation.
- Support clinic operations by managing filing systems, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records in EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a busy medical or dental office environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management standards such as HIPAA.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clerical tasks including filing, typing (10 key), and using Microsoft Office applications efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor in handling patient interactions over the phone or in person.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
