Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center (HICHC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated Dental Services team in Kealakehe. As a Dental Hygienist at HICHC, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality preventive dental care and education to patients of all ages while supporting our Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
In partnership with our Dental Director and dental providers, you will:

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning procedures

Assess patients' oral health and document findings

Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy habits

Administer local anesthetics as permitted under Hawaiʻi state regulations

Take and process dental radiographs

Assist with dental procedures as needed

Promote positive patient experiences through compassionate, culturally sensitive care

Support community-focused initiatives and patient wellness programs

Current Hawaiʻi Dental Hygienist license

Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program

Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Experience working with children, adolescents, and diverse populations

Community health or public health experience

Bilingual abilities are a plus
