Our culinary farm is on the verge of great things! Our creations vary from savory dishes inspired by our resident Chef using produce we grow on our farm, to baked seasonal goods including cookies and pies. This position is an aid to our Chef to help process raw produce pulled from our farm and the cooking and prepping of meals for "to go" or created into canned goods such as horseradish and jams. This is a position for someone who is interested in learning the processing steps of a true "farm to plate" kitchen and the creative work it takes to cultivate all of the food our North Fork has to offer.
The right candidate should be able to do basic math with measurements, follow directions and recipes to completion, work independently and meet deadlines with instructions from our Chef and perform light house keeping as well as keeping the kitchen clean.
**Please note that this position does require a culinary background. You will be expected to have kitchen knowledge as well as experience working in a setting where you are baking and cooking throughout the day.
This position is part time with flexible hours from 8am-4pm.
