Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Night Shift Nurse Supervisor to oversee clinical operations during the overnight hours (10:30 PM–7:00 AM) at our skilled nursing facility in Longwood Florida. The Nurse Supervisor serves as the clinical leader on duty, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff during the overnight shift, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Ensure safe, effective, and resident-centered care in accordance with facility policies and Florida regulations
- Act as the on-site clinical decision-maker and respond to changes in resident condition
- Conduct rounds, monitor documentation, and ensure completion of required assessments
- Manage admissions, discharges, and emergency situations during the shift
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and AHCA requirements
- Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and on-call leadership as needed
- Provide staff guidance, coaching, and support to promote quality care and teamwork
Qualifications:
- Active Florida RN or LPN license (RN preferred)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of skilled nursing or long-term care experience required
- Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations and long-term care standards
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities overnight
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies throughout the shift
- Must pass background screening and meet Florida Level 2 requirements
- CPR certification required
