Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services across diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Your expertise will support health promotion, disease prevention, acute and chronic illness management, and patient education. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status through detailed history-taking and vital signs measurement.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency care.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and basic wound care while maintaining sterile technique.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas like gastroenterology, infectious disease, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health for comprehensive patient management.
- Assist in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on medication administration, lifestyle modifications, disease prevention strategies, and health coaching.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
Skills
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with current board certification from an accredited certifying body.
- Extensive clinical experience in diverse settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or urgent care centers.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-10/ICD-9.
- Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, spinal taps, dermal fillers (nice-to-have), and esthetic laser treatments (nice-to-have).
- Experience managing complex cases involving acute pain management, ventilator support, dialysis coordination, gastrostomy tube feeding, or infectious disease care.
- Ability to work with diverse populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including dementia and Alzheimer’s care), behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with occupational health protocols like Workers' Compensation law and triage procedures in emergency settings.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine and outpatient services.
- Knowledge of medical imaging interpretation (e.g., sonography) and laboratory specimen collection/processing.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using physiology knowledge and clinical assessment techniques.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through training in areas such as psychopharmacology or advanced acute care practices.

Pay: $120.00 - $145.00 per hour
