Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between individuals who speak different languages or use American Sign Language. The ideal candidate will possess strong linguistic abilities and a passion for bridging communication gaps. This role is essential in various settings, including healthcare, legal, and educational environments, ensuring that all parties understand each other clearly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation services in real-time for conversations, meetings, and events.
- Translate spoken or signed language into the target language while maintaining the original message's intent and tone.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English and Vietnamese
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific communication needs and preferences.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Continuously improve interpreting skills through professional development and training opportunities.
- Adapt to various environments and contexts, including formal meetings, casual conversations, and public events.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Interpreter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of linguistics and language nuances.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with cultural differences and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
- Certification in interpreting or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
