Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Property Maintenance Technician for a temporary assignment. This position will assist with unit turns, general property maintenance, basic repairs, and upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas. The ideal candidate has maintenance experience, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently while providing professional service to tenants, staff, and visitors.
Duties
- Assist with unit turns and general property maintenance
- Complete basic repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely manner
- Perform routine inspections of units, common areas, and exterior spaces
- Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general repair tasks as needed
- Maintain the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including lawns, landscaped areas, walkways, and common areas
- Address tenant or property concerns professionally and report larger maintenance issues to management
- Coordinate with supervisors or team members to ensure work is completed on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools, materials, and supplies
- Follow all safety procedures when performing maintenance tasks
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, unit turns, or related work
- Basic knowledge of general repairs, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds maintenance preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and complete hands-on repair tasks
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
- Ability to bend, lift, stand, walk, and perform physical work throughout the day
- Commitment to safe work practices
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
