About Us:
Founded in 1996, WCMS provides occupational health services to clients across 13 states, supporting more than 30 organizations with workplace safety, employee health programs, and DOT compliance. We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at a client site in East Liverpool, OH.
Position Overview:
The Occupational Health Nurse will provide on-site clinical services, including medical surveillance, assist with DOT physical exams, drug screening, assist with pre-employment exams, and injury management. This position will work closely with the client’s safety team and HR department to promote employee health and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform medical surveillance testing and exams in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company protocols.
- Assist with DOT-compliant physical exams and maintain related records.
- Administer drug and alcohol screenings (including pre-employment and random testing).
- Provide injury assessment, care, and follow-up in compliance with occupational health guidelines.
- Assist with pre-employment physicals and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
- Collaborate directly with the client’s safety team and HR department on health and safety initiatives.
- Carry out regular nursing duties, including patient care, assessment, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current RN, LPN, or LVN license in the state of Ohio (required).
- Previous occupational health, urgent care, or related clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US citizen, and pass extensive background check for an explosives waste facility
Schedule:
- Full time, Monday–Friday, no weekends/holidays
