Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Lot Porter is to perform and assist with the activity of vehicles on the lot and transport vehicles in a safe and timely manner, as directed. The person that fills this role must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following.
- Pull orders in accordance with applicable procedures
- Parking vehicles on the lot to look attractive to buyers
- Bringing vehicles to/from mechanic
- Ensuring there is enough gas in a vehicle for a test drive, loaner car, etc.
- Applying/validating stock numbers, as appropriate
- Preparing vehicles for delivery to customer
- Transfer cars between dealerships and/or service center
- Any other duty as may be assigned
Physical Demands
- Constant walking, standing, driving and moving
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift/carry
