Job Summary
The Customer Service and Warehouse Support Associate will support sales operations, warehouse organization, customer deliveries, inventory management, and in-store customer service (once the store is open). This role is responsible for safely transporting automotive and industrial paint products, assisting customers at the counter, pulling and staging orders, maintaining customer and internal inventory, mixing paint, and helping ensure an efficient, clean, and organized store and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well independently, customer-focused, well-organized,comfortable performing physical work, and committed to accurate order fulfillment and professional service. This position has the opportunity to grow into a lead/supervisory as we continue to expand our footprint.
Essential Functions
External Customer Experience:
- Manage a regular delivery schedule and safely operate delivery vehicles to transport automotive and industrial paint products.
- Load and unload products from delivery vehicles and organize inventory at customer locations.
- Manage customer inventory and consignments by removing overstock, rotating inventory properly, and ensuring products are placed in the correct location.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and maintain a professional, customer-first approach.
Internal Customer Experience:
- Provide in-store counter sales support and customer service (upon store opening)
- Pull incoming customer orders, stage orders for delivery, and support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Lift and move products weighing 30 to 50 pounds regularly, using lift-assist and/or forklift equipment when appropriate for heavier items.
- Mix paint and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly mixing room.
Operational and Warehouse Support:
- Assist with internal inventory management, including organizing, restocking, rotating stock, and fronting inventory.
- Receive incoming deliveries and ensure inventory is rotated, placed properly, and stored in an organized manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, inventory documentation, and related paperwork.
- Clean and maintain warehouse and office areas daily.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Two to three years of customer service experience preferred; auto parts & paint experience preferred!
- Familiarity with automotive, collision, industrial paint, or related products is a plus.
- Delivery/Route Driving experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to meet insurability requirements.
- Computer proficiency, including point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with operating forklift and/or other warehouse equipment as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse, delivery, and inventory work.
- Ability to work without sitting for extended periods of time, to enter/exit delivery vehicles, climb stairs and/or ladder as necessary.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment, along with all required PPE according to company safety guidelines.
