American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency on the night shift.
-
Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within a Maternal Child Services department
-
Care spans Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Level I Nursery, and Mother/Baby settings
-
Follows baby-friendly protocols for newborn care
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
-
Required to work every 3rd weekend
-
One holiday required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
May float within scope to other units as part of a Helping Hands program
-
Uses Epic EMR system
-
Active WI RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required

Preferred certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and S.T.A.B.L.E

Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required

Epic charting system experience required

Skilled in labor and delivery management, including high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance

Experience with fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal heart monitoring
-
Experience with postpartum care, including cesarean section and vaginal delivery recovery
-
Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
-
Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care phases
-
Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, including forceps/vacuum extraction procedures
-
Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
-
Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching to parents
-
Support breastfeeding and lactation for postpartum patients
-
Manage pain relief methods including epidural anesthesia and PCA administration
-
Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
Holiday rotation participation may be required
