Overview
Join our vibrant bakery team as a Creswell Bakery Customer Service Staff member! In this lively role, you will be the friendly face greeting customers, assisting with their selections, and ensuring an exceptional experience at our bustling bakery. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for our customers. We are a fast-paced, high-volume from scratch bakery offering breakfast and lunch in addition to our array of delicious artisan baked breads, pastries, and other locally produced wines and goods.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Assist customers with food and beverage selections, including coffee and baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and serving protocols
- Support food preparation tasks to ensure fresh products are available for sale
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers promptly during busy periods while maintaining high service quality
Experience
- Previous customer service experience in a food industry or café environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is advantageous
- Strong skills in sales, serving, and food handling are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food industry standards ensures compliance and customer safety
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Requirements
- Must have (or the ability to obtain) a valid Oregon Food Handlers Card or ServSafe
- Availability on weekends and around holidays (these are our busiest times!)
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hour shifts.
