Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations, providing critical imaging services that support accurate diagnoses and patient care. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures, including fetal monitoring, anatomical surveys, and diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all imaging procedures.
- Utilize advanced sonography equipment to capture detailed images of maternal and fetal anatomy, supporting accurate diagnosis.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret ultrasound findings and provide detailed reports for clinical decision-making.
- Adhere to medical imaging protocols and maintain accurate documentation of all procedures performed.
- Stay current with developments in maternal-fetal medicine, sonography techniques, and medical terminology through ongoing education.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of obstetrics, gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and physiology relevant to pregnancy, reproductive health and women's care.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including sonography and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to the pelvis, fetus development stages, and reproductive organs.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques rigorously during all examinations to ensure patient safety.
- Familiarity with medical terminology used in obstetrics and gynecology for accurate reporting.
