Gas Station Front Attendant / Clerk / Cashier / Cook
Pay: $17.00/hr (starting)
Schedule: Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available
About the Position:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Front Attendant/Clerk/Cashier/Cook to join our team. This role includes customer service, cash handling, store upkeep, lottery sales, and food preparation. Ideal candidates are reliable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Cashier Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate the POS register accurately for sales and returns
- Handle cash, count money, and balance the register
- Sell, activate, and validate lottery tickets and scratchers
Store Upkeep & Operations
- Stock shelves, coolers, and product displays
- Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, trash, and restroom cleaning
- Open and/or close the store following company procedures
- Stand for long periods and perform moderate physical tasks
Food Preparation
- Prepare and cook food items such as chicken tenders, fries, potatoes, nuggets, and other fried or heated foods
- Operate kitchen equipment including fryer, oven, and convection oven
- Handle hot oil, grease, and cooked food safely
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Food handling or kitchen experience is a plus (but not required)
- Comfortable working with oil, grease, and hot kitchen equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
