Staff Accountant – Commercial Real Estate

We’re looking for a Staff Accountant with direct experience in commercial real estate accounting — specifically reviewing commercial leases and performing CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations. What You’ll Do
- Review and interpret commercial lease agreements for financial terms and tenant obligations
- Prepare and calculate annual CAM reconciliations and tenant billings
- Maintain accurate property-level general ledgers
- Reconcile bank accounts, tenant accounts, and property financials
- Process accounts payable/receivable related to property operations
- Assist with monthly/annual financial close, budgets, and reporting
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with lease and accounting standards
What You Bring
- Required: Prior hands-on experience with commercial lease review and CAM reconciliations
- 2+ years of accounting experience (commercial real estate strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred, not required if equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting practices
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple properties

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
