Primary Job Functions:

Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
-
Prepares all food items ads directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
-
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
-
Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
-
Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
-
Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
-
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.

Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team
Requirements:
Physical Demands
-
This position will spend 100% of the time standing and working in congested areas.
-
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
-
Must be able to withstand continuous walking, standing, bending and climbing stairs.

Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds when needed.

Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly.
-
Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
Job Requirements:

Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.

Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Previous prep or line cook experience.
-
Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.

Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

Comprehensive understanding of the English language.
-
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
-
Required to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.

Required to purchase appropriate uniform upon hiring.
Certifications and/or Testing Required:

Maintains a food handler’s permit.
