PURPOSE

Ensures mix/dough is physically moved and processed properly, according to schedule, and quality requirements.

Ensures phyllo dough is appropriately and consistently cut per specifications and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Moves supplies and product around production area as designated by management.
2. Turns on machine, making adjustments as needed to ensure proper machine operation.
3. Portions and loads dough into hopper.
4. Makes adjustments to ensure quality and product specifications are being met.
5. Must be comfortable using a knife.
6. Properly uses protective safety equipment.
a. Must wear cut resistant glove on non-dominant hand.
7. Cuts and/or trims product to size.
8. Places tray back onto assembly line for packaging.
9. Inspects product for quality. Identifies bad products or problems with the product and communicates with the Supervisor, Lead and/or QA.
10. Must be aware of hands and other body parts around the machine and while cutting.
11. Depending on placement, may hand feed phyllo dough through rollers along conveyor, tear off sheet and / or splice dough, or feed dough around take off cores.
12. Properly uses protective safety equipment.
13. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public.
14. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
15. Responsible to report food safety, quality or food defense concerns to his/her supervisor or in their absence the QA Manager.
16. Follows all good housekeeping measures, Safety, GMP’s and Food Safety Policies.

3. Ability to read and understand procedures and instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior production line experience in the food industry.

1. This job must be completed by standing and walking throughout a standard shift.
2. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and independently, occasionally up to 100 lbs. and pulls up to 1500 lbs.
3. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information.
4. May require occasional evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.

1. Majority of work performed in a food production environment.
2. Regular exposure to hazardous chemicals, above normal levels of noise, heat and humidity.
