Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process customer transactions quickly and accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos when needed
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance over the phone
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse community effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems and retail math concepts is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising
