As a leader in CNC machining and work truck and van upfits for over 90 years, we are adding another CNC Machinist to our team due to increased work volume. JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC Machinist
This position will perform precision CNC machining, custom fabrication, repair machining, production runs, and prototyping. Candidate is required to have prior precision CNC machine technology experience, preferably with machine programming knowledge, and a strong mechanical background. THIS IS NOT A MACHINE OPERATOR POSITION.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

This position will set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes (Mazak experience is a plus)

Read blueprints and interpret tolerances

Evaluate breakdown jobs and understand tolerances for repair

Read, verify, and operate micrometers, gauges and precision measuring instruments

Prioritize different tasks and be able to efficiently manage your time

Maintain a clean and safe working environment
REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience, or two years vocational or technical school

High proficiency with CNC machining equipment, with significant experience running a mill and/or lathe

Must be able to multi-task on machines and different projects

Must be able to produce quality products within budget

High attention to details and meeting deadlines

Strong mechanical aptitude
COMPENSATION:
This position offers a competitive salary based on experience. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm, and Friday, 7am to Noon (40 hours/week + 5 hours OT/week). Additional overtime opportunities may be required as needed.
