Position Summary
Support the growth and success of Costello’s commercial and B2B business by coordinating sales, sourcing, procurement, vendor relationships, customer orders, and related administrative processes. Serve as a key connection between the Commercial Sales team, stores, vendors, and customers to ensure opportunities are handled efficiently, accurately, and with a strong focus on sales growth and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Drive companywide B2B and commercial sales success by providing responsive sales and procurement support, sourcing products competitively, coordinating customer and vendor activity, and ensuring accurate execution from quote through delivery. Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, stores, and internal partners while identifying opportunities to increase revenue, control costs, improve processes, and create an exceptional customer experience.
- Support and coordinate commercial and B2B sales activity across the company.
- Service existing commercial accounts, obtain orders, coordinate product needs, and support timely delivery and fulfillment.
- Prepare and coordinate customer quotes, proposals, special orders, and related sales documentation.
- Partner with the Director of Commercial Sales and Commercial Sales team to identify and execute opportunities to grow revenue and achieve established sales goals.
- Serve as a resource and point of coordination between the Commercial Sales team, stores, customers, and vendors.
- Source and purchase products and services needed to support customer and business requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, availability, and delivery expectations.
- Identify alternative or new sources of supply when needed to meet customer requirements, improve availability, or reduce costs.
- Place purchase orders and coordinate and track orders through delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, receipts, quotes, customer orders, and other sales and procurement transactions.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key vendors and customers.
- Communicate proactively with customers, stores, vendors, and internal partners regarding order status, product availability, pricing, delivery, and issues requiring resolution.
- Conduct market and product research to identify pricing trends, new products, sourcing opportunities, and potential cost savings.
- Support accurate inventory management related to commercial sales and sourced products and identify opportunities to minimize excess inventory, waste, and overstock.
- Ensure sourcing and purchasing activities follow company policies, ethical standards, vendor agreements, and established procedures.
- Support the development and execution of commercial sales and procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales, sourcing, purchasing, order management, and customer service processes.
- Maintain a strong focus on sales, customers, revenue generation, and achievement of established goals.
- Develop strong knowledge of Costello’s products, services, customers, and selling practices.
- Manage multiple priorities, customer needs, orders, and projects simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive customer, vendor, pricing, and company information.
- Provide additional sales, procurement, and administrative support as business needs require.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management and the executive team.

Job Requirements
- Prior experience in commercial sales, B2B sales, purchasing, procurement, sourcing, sales support, or a related business function preferred.
- Experience working with customers, vendors, purchase orders, quotes, and/or order coordination preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and related business applications.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize company sales, purchasing, inventory, and business systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to occasionally travel based on business needs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as customer and business needs require.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects, customer needs, orders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive customer, vendor, pricing, and company information.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
