Overview
CORE MD, LLC is seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Front Desk Attendant to support daily operations at a hotel serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This role is responsible for front desk coverage, guest check-in support, room key management, phone coverage, emergency response, and coordination with housekeeping and maintenance. The ideal candidate can remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and provide respectful service in a fast-paced, high-needs environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue, replace, and track room keys for guest check-in and ongoing occupancy.
- Update guest information, check-in/check-out records, and other required front desk logs.
- Answer incoming calls and handle daily front desk communications, including mail, deliveries, invoices, and supply requests.
- Respond to guest needs related to housekeeping, maintenance, and general property concerns.
- Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, daily logs, and shift handoff notes.
- Monitor lobby activity, visitor access, and common areas in accordance with property procedures.
- Respond to emergencies, fire alarms, and safety concerns following site protocols.
- Enforce house rules, visitor policies, and safety procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage guest conflicts or disruptive behavior.
- Communicate effectively with management, security, housekeeping, maintenance, and stakeholders.
- Track front desk supplies, key inventory, operational forms, and lost-and-found items.
- Provide professional, respectful, and trauma-informed service to guests, staff, and visitors

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least 1 year of front desk, customer service, hotel, residential, shelter, or supportive housing experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer, email, and telephone skills
- Experience working in supportive housing, homeless services, shelters, behavioral health, or human services settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation practices
- Experience documenting incidents and communicating across multiple departments
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Pay: $17.17 per hour
