Overview
Join First Choice OB/GYN, located in Wasilla, Alaska, as a Registered Nurse (RN) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional care to women in an outpatient setting.
In this role, you will utilize your expertise to assess patient needs and provide care to women in the setting of gynecology and obstetrics. You'll work closely with our clinic's physician and physician associate, in addition to our administration and clinical team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Athena electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques, urinary catheter care, and medication administration.
- Coordinate patient care through case management activities directly with physician(s) and physician associate(s).
- Perform diagnostic evaluations like laboratory specimen collection and phlebotomy.
- Prepare specimen and assist with intrauterine insemination procedures.
- Assist with gynecology procedures including but not limited to colposcopy, LEEP procedures, various biopsies, in office NovaSure and bladder Botox.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare standards including NCQA standards, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Valid Alaska RN license with current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Obstetrics & gynecology experience is preferred, but we are willing to train.
- Fetal non-stress testing training certificate a plus. Willing to provide formal training.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Experience with Athena EMR a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced out-patient clinic environment.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
