position: Engine Mechanic for a U.S. Passenger Cruise Ship; Date of joining: mid of August 2026; Contract duration: 2 months +/-1; Wages: USD 2142; Role Overview: The Engine Mechanic supports the engineering team in maintaining and repairing all mechanical systems onboard the cruise vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operation in accordance with maritime regulations.;
Key Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, pumps, compressors, purifiers, and auxiliary machinery.; - Assist with watchkeeping, machinery monitoring, and daily engine room inspections.; - Troubleshoot mechanical issues and report findings to engineering officers.; - Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures (STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL).; - Participate in emergency drills and maintain a clean, safe engine workspace.;
Requirements:
- Sea service experience.; - Valid C1D visa.; - Marine engineering or mechanical vocational training.; - Mechanical maintenance experience (marine industry preferred).; - STCW Basic Safety Training.; - Good English communication skills.; - Ability to work in rotating shifts and demanding engine room conditions.;
