We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and reliable Line Cook with a strong background in Italian cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working the line at Italian restaurants, with a deep understanding of traditional pastas and proteins.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Italian restaurants
- Strong knowledge of classic Italian pastas (e.g. carbonara, amatriciana, agnolotti, cacio e pepe, ravioli, tagliatelle)
- Experience preparing and cooking Italian proteins such as branzino, chicken Milanese, veal, pork chops, and bistecca Fiorentina
- Ability to handle a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen while maintaining consistency and finesse
- Skilled at station prep, managing timing, and delivering clean, well-executed plates
- Familiarity with fresh pasta and proper sauce-to-pasta ratios
- Clean, organized, and professional in both appearance and work ethic
- Team player mentality with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Availability nights, weekends, and holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work the pasta, sauté, or grill station during service
- Execute dishes to exact standards and plating specs
- Maintain clean, organized mise en place
- Assist in daily prep, receiving, and storage
- Communicate clearly with expo, FOH, and fellow cooks
- Follow health department and kitchen safety protocols at all times
- Contribute ideas and maintain pride in your work
