Job Summary
Morris Marine LLC is seeking a dependable and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of boats and marine engines. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn and grow with our company.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of boats and marine engines.
- Perform routine maintenance, including but not limited to oil changes and tune-ups.
- Inspect vessels and engines to identify needed repairs or preventative maintenance.
- Install and replace marine parts and accessories as needed.
- Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, cooling, and steering systems.
- Test watercraft and equipment to ensure repairs have been completed correctly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Occasionally communicate with customers regarding completed repairs or service recommendations when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous marine/power sports, or small engine repair experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
