Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service
- Manage reservations using restaurant management software such as OpenTable or similar platforms
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest experience
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the menu and specials
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand and waiting area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment
- Assist with basic food preparation, food handling, and meal presentation when needed
- Support serving staff by bussing tables and clearing dishes.
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle guest relations confidently and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, POS operations such as Toast POS, and order taking
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
