Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and dependable Security Guard to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Our establishment is a family-friendly restaurant during the day and evening, transitioning into a lively bar atmosphere later at night. This role requires excellent customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in all situations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and respectful manner while maintaining a visible security presence.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and dining/bar areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Verify identification and enforce age restrictions in accordance with state and local laws.
- Observe guest behavior and intervene early to de-escalate conflicts or disruptive situations.
- Assist with safely removing intoxicated or disorderly individuals when necessary.
- Work closely with management and staff to respond to incidents, emergencies, or guest concerns.
- Monitor occupancy levels and help ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Complete incident reports accurately and communicate important information to management.
- Conduct routine security checks throughout the property, including parking areas.
- Help maintain a positive atmosphere while treating every guest with courtesy and respect.
- Help with closing duties; i.e. taking out trashes, flipping chairs/stools, wiping down tables, sweeping/mopping etc.
Qualifications
- Previous security, hospitality, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet all state licensing requirements for security personnel, if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and physically assist when necessary.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
