Job Overview: As a Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in the production process by performing various manual tasks to support manufacturing operations. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory:
· Be familiar with parts used in Assembly of our Products.
· Assure that Inventory levels are supporting of our Production needs.
· Maintain an accurate Inventory utilizing SOS Inventory System.
· Perform physical Inventory and make proper adjustments on at least an annual basis.
2. Purchasing:
· Become familiar with the type of Components used and where they are purchased.
· Using SOS, write Purchase Orders for components. Some of our items are long lead-time!
· Plan; Meet with Sales Team to stay on top of incoming Orders
3. Customer Contact:
· Meet with Customers and Distributors when the need arises. Our customers’ appreciate the personal contact when they have Equipment in for Repair.
· Participate in Teams Meetings, email communications, as needed to assist our Sales Team in meeting the customer’s needs.
4. Engineering Support:
· Meet with Engineering Team to understand new products being developed.
· Make recommendations for components based upon items already in Inventory
· When needed, direct the Production Assembly team to build up new product ideas using 3D Printed Details and components from our Inventory.
5. Quality Control:
· Assure that the Production Assembly team receives the most up-to-date Prints and Bills of Material for every project
· Oversee Production Assembly Team to assure that we are building accurate, neat and clean Equipment.
· Train new employees in our methods and procedures.
6. Technical Support
· Work with both Underwriters Laboratories and Intertek Testing Solutions to obtain and/or update our Certification status on all Equipment manufactured by EMT.
· Attend quarterly meetings with our Certifying Organizations
· Maintain accurate records of all Certifications.
7. Assembly
· This department falls under the Production Manager position
· Lead Assembly Technicians in completing Builds. This would include pulling Inventory for Assembly, providing a list of Components and an Assembly Drawing to work from.
· Set schedules for Assembly personnel based upon hours needed to complete the tasks at hand.
8. Shipping and Receiving:
· This department also falls under the Production Manager position
· Become knowledgeable in how each Product is packaged for shipping. Also, learn to be a backup for the position if the need arises.
· Maintain a solid Inventory of Shipping supplies, especially long-lead items.
9. Team Collaboration:
· Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and quality objectives.
· Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues or concerns.
· Support a positive and productive work environment by demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn

Effectively project job costs based on work remaining.

Competent with Microsoft Office 365, Outlook and Excel.
Manufacturing background is a plus. Although the Production Manager is not a manual labor position, it will be very helpful to have a solid understanding of shop equipment, hand tools, drills, saws and electrical schematics. The Manufacturing Manager will also need to guide the Assembly team in proper Wiring practices.
· Education:
High School Diploma
Three to Five years’ Production Management experience
