Extruder Lead – 1st & 3rd shift available Up to $33.25 h/r + $1k sign on
A Global leading manufacturer with a facility in Columbus, OH are hiring a full-time Extrusion lead to keep extrusion lines and support systems running at peak performance.
Shift:
The schedule will be a 12-hour shift; either 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down extrusion lines, including installing and changing dies
- Start up lines and ensure quality finished products are produced
- Monitor and troubleshoot extrusion equipment and processes
- Maintain production efficiency while minimizing waste and downtime
- Operate packaging equipment for finished products
- Assist and lead team members assigned to the extrusion line
- Continuously inspect product quality and make adjustments to meet VSI certification standards
- Use measuring tools and hand tools such as micrometers, precision rules, pliers, screwdrivers, clamps, and fixtures
- Maintain accurate production records including output, scrap, downtime, and setup information
- Perform material handling and packaging preparation as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean work areas
Qualifications & Skills
- 4-5+ years of hands-on extrusion experience required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge
