Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Administrative Assistant for a private medical practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties. This role is essential to ensure the smooth daily operation of our practice and requires a professional who is efficient, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and effectively solve problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient and Visitor Services: Greet and check in patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer and direct all incoming phone calls promptly.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, and coordinate patient appointments, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and other medical consultations. Manage and maintain the daily calendars for the medical staff.
- Patient Records: Work with all parts of patient record: administrative, demographic, business and clinical.
- Billing and Insurance: Handle patient insurance and billing, collect and process payments.
- Administrative Support: Manage office communications with patients, specialty clinical providers, other health care sectors such as pharmacies, nursing homes, etc
Qualifications
- College degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting. Experience with Primary Care and Internal Medicine a plus.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, medical software, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and office procedures.
- Experience with medical insurance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
