Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Chowbus POS systems
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales and tips
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards through proper food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations when needed
- Provide exceptional guest service by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, and beverage pairings
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or casual settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience with reservation systems like Chowbus is a plus
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
- Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude to foster guest satisfaction and team collaboration
