Parkview Haven Life Plan Community is seeking a compassionate, energetic and dependable Activities Assistant to join our team. This position is available part-time or full-time and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents by planning and leading engaging activities that promote physical, social, emotional and cognitive well-being. If you enjoy working with older adults, have a positive attitude and love bringing smiles to others, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and special events.
- Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents while promoting dignity and independence.
- Assist with outings, holiday celebrations, and community events.
- Prepare activity supplies and maintain activity areas.
- Document resident participation as required.
- Transport residents to and from activities when needed.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance each resident's quality of life.
Qualifications:
- Compassionate, friendly, and dependable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in activities, healthcare, customer service, recreation, or working with seniors is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
