Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver specializing in dump truck operations to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers, to transport construction materials, debris, and freight across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and tanker trucks to transport freight and materials efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure handling of all goods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Follow designated routes and schedules diligently, adapting to traffic conditions and delivery priorities.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site personnel, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable, and ensure vehicle cleanliness and compliance with DOT standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks, tanker, flatbed, or refrigerated trailers.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route driving and load & unload operations.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and tractor-trailer operation.
- Experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and performing vehicle inspections regularly.
