Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with attention to detail and consistency
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in all kitchen operations
- Develop new sushi recipes and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings
- Manage ingredient inventory, order supplies, and ensure freshness of all seafood and accompaniments
- Collaborate with the culinary team to uphold quality standards and streamline kitchen workflows
- Educate junior staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and proper handling of ingredients
- Ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining exceptional quality in every dish
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Experience working with seafood and understanding food safety regulations
- Ability to develop creative sushi recipes and presentation styles
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Culinary certification or relevant training in Japanese cuisine is preferred
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction
Pay: $25.00 per hour
