Overview
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their dynamic legal team. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support attorneys across a diverse range of legal practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, civil litigation, and more. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case development and strategy.
- Prepare, review, and draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure organized and accessible records.
- Conduct thorough document review and proofreading to maintain accuracy in filings and client communications.
- Support litigation processes through civil litigation support activities including filing, data entry, and document review.
- Handle confidential information with discretion while supporting client communication and scheduling appointments.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, phone etiquette management, and maintaining procedural law knowledge to streamline office operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with familiarity in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, UCC law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, family law, immigration law, environmental law or general & commercial litigation.
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing), document review software, and legal case management systems like iManage or PCLaw.
- Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of procedural law and experience supporting litigation processes from inception through resolution.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially with integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated legal writing skills including drafting memos, reports, and correspondence.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
