Experienced Automotive Mechanic – South San Antonio
S & S Tire & Auto is looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and can confidently diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues. Has your own tools.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair domestic and foreign vehicles
- Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and brake repairs
- Complete tune-ups, oil changes, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose electrical and drivability issues
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
- Perform alignments (preferred but not required)
- Use diagnostic scanners and repair equipment efficiently
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate repair recommendations professionally with management
Qualifications:
- Previous automotive mechanic experience required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, A/C, electrical systems, and general automotive repair
- Must have your own basic mechanic tools
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable, punctual, and honest
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
